Apart from some minor roles for Swedish TV 5 and sessions as a speaker for Dövas Television (TV-shows for the deaf) on SVT (Swedish television), Sven Bergersjö behind Maniac Media first started to work with TV -97 to -98 when he took care of the broadcasting from Öppna Kanalen ("the open channel") in Gothenburg.

From Öppna Kanalen he broadcasted his own short movies and a program called "poesistunden" (the moment of poetry) which he was the producer of, in addition to the standard programs.

But already in -93 when he was educating himself, he tried live broadcasting and three camera-actions, among other things.
